Carden Conejo School in Thousand Oaks seeks a Middle School Tennis Coach to guide student-athletes in developing tennis skills, leadership, and teamwork. You will plan after-school practices, teach technique, and prepare players for competition with an emphasis on safety and inclusion.

The ideal candidate has prior coaching experience, a high school diploma, and CPR/First Aid/AED certification, plus ability to collaborate with the Athletic Director and families.

Qualifications

• Prior tennis coaching experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR, First Aid & AED Certification required prior to start.
• Must pass all school-required background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead developmentally appropriate middle school tennis practices.
• Teach fundamental tennis skills, including serving, forehand/backhand, volleys and footwork.
• Supervise practices, matches and team activities for safety and positive participation.
• Evaluate athletes and determine appropriate singles and doubles lineups for competition.
• Foster teamwork, inclusion, confidence, and sportsmanship.
• Communicate schedules, expectations, and updates with the Athletic Director and families.
