Job summary

Caliber Public Schools is seeking a flexible Substitute Teacher to report daily to the assigned campus for coverage across any grade level or subject area. This role may also serve as an instructional assistant or yard/meal supervisor when coverage is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Californi a regular teaching credential for K-12 or emergency 30-day teaching permit.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• TB clearance within 60 days as mandated by the California Education Code.
• DOJ and FBI fingerprint (Livescan) clearance prior to the first day of school.

Responsibilities

• Report daily to the Caliber campus of your assignment.
• Provide coverage for teachers and staff in various areas, subjects and grade levels.
• Maintain high expectations for student behavior and apply them equitably to all students.
• Implement and support school-wide social-emotional programming and restorative practices.
• Reflect on biases and pedagogical practices to mitigate negative impact on students.
• Facilitate small group instruction with targeted outcomes.
• Support operations and instruction as needed (instructional assistant, testing supports, yard/meal supervisor).
• Attend district and school-site services and participate in professional development.
