Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven written and verbal proficiency in Spanish.
• NYS Teaching Certification preferred; certification pathway support offered.
• One year of teaching experience in an urban setting preferred.
• Knowledge around students with disabilities, specifically autistic students, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with co-teachers to improve classroom practices and set high expectations for behavior and academics.
• Plan and deliver rigorous instruction to large and small groups; incorporate feedback and reflect on teaching practices.
• Provide meaningful feedback and assess student progress toward learning objectives; participate in state testing accommodations if applicable.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and develop IEP/behavior plans in consultation with staff and families.
• Develop strong family partnerships through regular communication and guidance on learning objectives and expectations.
