• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• New York State Teaching Certification in Mathematics (grades 5-9) or Mathematics (grades 7-12) or Generalist in Middle Childhood Education (grades 5-9).
• Dual certification in ESOL or Students with Disabilities is a plus.
• NYS fingerprint clearance and background check.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates knowledge of grade-level math curriculum to engage students in problem-solving.
• Plans, prepares, and facilitates daily standards-based lessons differentiating for diverse learners.
• Establishes a culture of learning to prepare students to enter high school.
• Integrates literacy across mathematics content, including vocabulary development, reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Designs assessments and uses data to refine curriculum and instructional practices.
• Communicates with parents and collaborates with school teams.
