Job summary

Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) seeks a certified Middle School Mathematics teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Middle School Mathematics and 1+ year of classroom experience are required; knowledge of LEAP testing, ACT/SAT prep, and Louisiana standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Middle School Mathematics.
• 1+ years of experience with middle school students.
• Knowledge of LEAP testing, ACT/SAT prep, and Louisiana State Standards.
• Certification or interest in achieving certification in multiple areas is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach Middle School Mathematics to assigned students.
• Prepare students for LEAP testing and ACT/SAT prep.
• Collaborate with staff and participate in required summer trainings.
• Support one or more extracurricular clubs or sports outside of regular school day.
