Job summary

Breed Middle School is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher in Lynn, MA to join the Lynn Public Schools. The candidate will plan standards-based lessons, assess student progress, and provide regular feedback aligned with MA frameworks.

Strong collaboration with staff and families is essential. The role requires DESE licensure in Mathematics 5-8 or Middle School Math/Science 5-8; a Bachelor's is required and a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE license in Mathematics 5-8 or Middle School Mathematics/Science 5-8.
• Bachelor's Degree; Master’s Degree preferred.
• SEI Endorsement as applicable
• Additional content area licensure encouraged
• Knowledge of MA standards and indicators of teaching practice
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents and staff
• Experience in urban district preferred
• Awareness of bias and equity in education

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement standards-based math lessons with clear objectives.
• Assess and use data to direct instruction and provide feedback.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners including SPED/EL.
• Use technology to support student learning and progress.
• Maintain positive pupil-teacher relationships and behavior standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and assessment design.
