Job summary

WAYNE COUNTY SCHOOLS is seeking a Middle School Mathematics Teacher to deliver a comprehensive mathematics program as part of the middle school team, in accordance with state law and local board policies. The position requires holding or qualifying for a West Virginia Professional Teaching certificate endorsed in mathematics for grades 6-8.

The teacher will implement approved curricula, monitor student progress, and maintain effective communication with parents and the school community.

Qualifications

Holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional Teaching certificate endorsed in mathematics for grades 6-8.

Responsibilities

To implement the program of study approved by the West Virginia Board of Education and the county Board of Education.
To foster a classroom climate conducive to learning.
To utilize instructional management systems models that increase student learning.
To monitor student progress toward mastery of the instructional goals and objectives.
To communicate effectively with the educational community and parents/guardians on a regular basis.
To meet professional responsibilities.
To implement the state and county testing program in accordance with state and county policies.
