Job summary

Merryhill School in California seeks a Middle School Math & Science Teacher to empower students with strong math and science skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a supportive, engaging classroom.

You will deliver structured lessons, provide personalized instruction, develop materials, assess progress, and collaborate with staff, parents, and leadership to support student success. A Bachelor's in Education, Math, or Science and teaching certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, Science, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certificate preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching middle school math and/or science.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, well-structured math and science lessons that support student learning and growth.
• Provide personalized instruction to meet individual student needs and promote interactive learning.
• Develop and distribute educational materials such as notes, summaries, assignments, and assessments.
• Assess student progress, provide timely feedback and grades, and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
• Participate actively in school meetings, events, and professional development opportunities.
• Plan and facilitate dynamic educational activities both inside and outside the classroom.
• Address student behavioral concerns promptly and compassionately, reporting serious concerns as needed
