Job summary

Ann Arbor Open@ Mack seeks a 7/8 Grade Mathematics Teacher to join the district’s middle school team. The position requires a 1.0 FTE commitment and a valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.

Responsibilities include delivering district-approved math curriculum, differentiating instruction for multiage classes, and communicating with families. Strong collaboration with staff and adherence to district policies are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with EX 6-8 or EX 6-12 endorsement.
• Familiarity with Open Education philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Teach district approved curriculum.
• Develop lessons and instructional materials for individualized and small-group instruction.
• Adapt curriculum for a multiage classroom to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with parents, students, and staff.
• Communicate with parents outside class via newsletters, notes, calls, conferences.
• Evaluate academic and social growth; maintain records and progress reports.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
