Qualifications

• Certification/License required for IN ELA middle school teaching.
• Bachelor's degree in education or a closely related field.
• Masters degree is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers middle school curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Promotes a safe, inclusive classroom for individualized and small group instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and translates them into learning experiences.
• T eaches reading, language arts, social studies, math, science or related subjects per assignment.
• Conducts ongoing assessment and adjusts instruction to meet student needs.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates progress to families.
• Maintains records of student achievement and attendance per district rules.
• Administers standardized tests as per district testing programs.
