Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate.
• Alternative qualifications may be accepted by the Board.
• CPR, AED, First Aid Certification and NFHS concussion training.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the high school coaching staff before/after middle school season and attend all games and practices.
• Develop and support a program aligning youth, middle school and high school athletics.
• Possess thorough knowledge of the sport rules and fundamentals.
• Adhere to Athletic Handbook policies and MSHSAA rules.
• Maintain a safe environment promoting wholesome athletic competition.
• Foster positive relations with students, parents, staff, community, and media.
• Place a team on the field, manage substitutions as part of a plan.
• Attend professional development with Athletic Director/Head Coach to support off-season planning.
• Support head coach in maximizing off-season and summer training.
• Promote academic achievement through high standards.
• Maintain inventory of school equipment.
• Engage in participation, conditioning and training activities and camps.
• Work in accordance with ISD Board Policies and Regulations.
