Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Middle Level ELA Classroom Teacher in South Carolina. Under the supervision of the School Principal, you will implement district curricula, document progress, and support individual student needs in a safe, stimulating learning environment.

You will prepare lesson plans, assess students, and communicate progress to parents and administrators. A valid SC teaching certificate and prior teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and pedagogy with differentiating instruction by learning style.
• Knowledge of secondary curriculum and related concepts.
• Knowledge of data information systems and data-driven action planning.
• Knowledge of laws governing education and student rights.
• Ability to use computer networks and educational software as needed.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work across activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Ability to self-evaluate and pursue professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers middle level/secondary curriculum aligned to district goals.
• Fosters a safe classroom for individualized and small-group instruction.
• Creates lesson plans and translates them into engaging learning experiences.
• Assesses student learning and adapts instruction to meet needs.
• Teaches citizenship and other required subjects per laws and policies.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and research.
• Maintains accurate records of grades and attendance per district procedures.
• Encourages parent involvement and clear communication with families.
• Ensures student conduct aligns with school standards and policies.
• Coordinates with staff to review curriculum and participate in meetings.
• Assists with book, supply selection and inventory management.
• Supervises students during school activities and transportation.
• Administers standardized tests as required.
