Job summary

Isaac School District is seeking a middle school teacher to deliver language arts instruction and implement the district curriculum. You will prepare weekly lesson plans aligned to state guidelines and evaluate student learning.

You will maintain grade books, follow testing guidelines, and communicate progress to families while collaborating with grade-level teams to support diverse learners and integrate technology into the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related.
• Must possess Arizona Department of Education Teaching certification.
• Certificate in Elementary Education or be immediately eligible for the same.
• Must possess Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Teach language arts to middle school students.
• Share primary responsibility for implementing the District's required curriculum.
• Prepare and teach weekly lesson plans based on District and State guidelines.
• Evaluate student learning.
• Maintain up-to-date grade books and records.
• Follow all State and District testing guidelines.
• Prepare and disseminate report cards.
• Analyze data to plan instruction addressing whole and small groups and individual needs.
• Use and develop research-based instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse student populations.
• Incorporate technology to enhance student learning within the curriculum.
• Collaborate with grade level teams to plan for student learning.
• Advocate for all students' academic and social development needs with staff guidance.
• Maintain current and accurate records of student progress.
• Establish routines to maximize instructional time.
• Convey high expectations to motivate students.
• Create an academically rich environment with high expectations.
• Facilitate respectful teacher-student interactions.
• Communicate with families regarding student learning and progress.
• Attend district/school parent-teacher conferences and related duties outside instructional day.
• Provide supervision of students before, during, and after school.
• Participate in required professional development.
• Work with site administration to adhere to evaluation guidelines.
• Contribute to school improvement efforts.

Education

Bachelors degree in Education or related.

Arizona Department of Education Teaching
