Oxford Hills School District in South Paris, ME seeks a Boys' 7th grade Soccer Head Coach for Oxford Hills Middle School. The role leads practice planning, game scheduling with the Athletic Director, and promoting discipline and sportsmanship.

Requirements include coaching experience, CPR/First Aid (AFEP) or equivalent, age 20+, district approval, and compliance with MPA bylaws and ethics. This is a one-year coaching position at the middle school level.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience preferred.
• CPR, AFEP Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid Courses or equivalent (may take within first year as coach).
• At least 20 years of age.
• Must be approved by the Oxford Hills School District.
• Must sign a statement reading and agreeing to comply with all MPA By-Laws, policies and Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for achievement in the sport.
• Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season.
• Works with the Athletic Director in scheduling contests.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies and uniforms.
• Maintains attendance forms, insurance records and similar paperwork.
• Oversees safety conditions of the facility where the sport is conducted.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior and sets penalties as needed.
• Attends meetings to engage parents and community groups and improve support.
• Carries out injury prevention and care procedures.
