Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Ewing, NJ for a direct hire position. The role offers a $55,000 per year pay rate and a first shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree and 1-2 years in manufacturing or related environments, with familiarity in plastics/injection molding and CAD tooling. You will support equipment reliability, maintenance programs, and CAPEX initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required, preferably in mechanical or related engineering field.
• Additional engineering coursework or CAD training is a plus.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and schematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations and equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC-controlled systems.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and equipment documentation.
• Manage spare parts inventory, vendor sourcing, and maintenance-related purchasing.
• Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, and automation initiatives.
• Create and update SOPs and validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Use CAD software to develop tooling, fixtures, and production support designs.
• Support vision systems, process optimization, safety compliance and environmental programs.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, engineering and contractor teams to improve uptime.
