Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited education institution.
• Valid Teacher certification/licensure in the appropriate endorsement area; emergency/provisional certificates may be accepted per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Plans yearly instructional outlines and daily lesson plans with objectives and evaluative methods.
• Teaches using appropriate instructional methods to develop cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills.
• Evaluates student progress using standardized tests and other assessments; uses alternative instruction as needed.
• Maintains progress reports and records, communicating with parents and other stakeholders.
• Maintains classroom control and discipline, providing individualized counseling within guidelines.
