Job summary

Mathnasium is looking for an energetic Instructor to join our Blaine, MN team. You will work with K-12 students to help them understand and excel in math, creating a fun, supportive learning environment that fosters a passion for STEM and confidence in problem solving.

Our work hours are designed for flexibility, with instructional periods from 3-8pm Mon-Thurs and 9am-1pm on Saturdays, ideal for students or community members pursuing other commitments.

Qualifications

• Strong aptitude for math and a passion for STEM.
• High energy and a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Make learning math fun for students.
• Find joy helping K-12 students to improve their understanding of math.
• Embrace the use and application of technology to facilitate custom, individualized learning plans based on each student's needs.
• Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for parents & students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support that encourages professional growth.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure the success of all students.
• Flexibility in learning a different style of teaching in order to best support students.
