Job summary

Mathnasium in St. Michael, MN is looking for an energetic Instructor to assist K-12 students in understanding and excelling in mathematics. You will create a positive, engaging learning environment and use technology to tailor lessons to each student’s needs.

Candidates with teaching or tutoring experience are welcome, but not required. The role offers flexible hours with shifts from 3-8pm Mon-Thurs and 9am-1pm on Saturdays, and opportunities for advancement within a friendly, growth-focused

Qualifications

Strong aptitude for math and a passion for STEM.
High energy and a positive attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Make learning math fun for students.
Find joy helping K-12 students to improve their understanding of math.
Embrace the use and application of technology to facilitate custom, individualized learning plans based on each student's needs.
Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for parents & students.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support that encourages professional growth.
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure the success of all students.
Flexibility in learning a different style of teaching in order to best support students.
