Position: Dynamic Math and Japanese Teacher for a Full-Time 3rd and 4th Grade Position

Institution: Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD)

Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) is seeking a dynamic Math and Japanese teacher for a full-time 3rd and 4th Grade position at Foreign Language Immersion and Cultural Studies School (F.L.I.C.S.). This position is available immediately.

F.L.I.C.S. is a unique school that focuses on second language acquisition and culture from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade and has four languages: French, Spanish, Mandarin, and Japanese. F.L.I.C.S. routinely graduates scholars who have Intermediate proficiency-level language and culture skills.

DPSCD follows a proficiency-driven World Language model and the DPSCD Office of World Languages provides monthly professional development, curriculum support, abundant resources, coaching, and access to state and regional World Language conferences.

DPSCD honors teacher experience for salary steps and has one of the highest starting salaries for new teachers in Metro Detroit. Additionally, DPSCD offers a great benefits package that provides lots of choices for you and your family.
