Job summary

Sunrider Manufacturing is seeking a Material Handler 1 - Forklift Operator to load, unload, and move materials within the plant and yard. Duties include following work orders, using pallet jacks or forklifts, and ensuring loads are safely prepared for transport.

The role requires basic education and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with responsibilities covering inventory support and maintaining a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and operate equipment safely.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing manual material handling.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and determine materials to move.
• Load/unload materials from pallets using hand tools or forklift.
• Move materials within plant or yard and secure loads for transport.
• Record units moved on production sheets and label materials.
• Assist with inventory and maintain a clean work area.
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to load and move materials.
