Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation legal assistant experience.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to hit the ground running.
• Experience with case intake/opening and managing deadlines.
• Experience with filing and service in California superior, federal and appellate courts.
• Knowledge of pleadings, discovery rules, and deposition process.
• Familiarity with trial-triggered deadlines and exhibit binders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist with trial preparation, including filing and service of trial documents.
• Communicate with clients and insurance carriers via email and phone.
• Manage deadlines to ensure attorneys meet them.
• Maintain case intake/opening workflows.
