The ideal candidate has strong Word skills, experience with electronic filing portals for federal/state courts and agencies, and excellent communication abilities. Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Word proficiency.
• Familiarity with electronic filing systems/portals for federal/state courts and agencies (NLRB, EEOC, NYSDHR).
• Ability to redact electronic documents (PDF, PPT, WORD).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle a large volume of work and prioritize.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong case management.
• Experience interacting with clients and opposing counsel.
• Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and NY CPLR.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of litigation.
• Prepare and file notices of appearance electronically.
• Review and file pleadings, motion papers and other litigation documents electronically.
• Prepare discovery documents including notices of deposition and subpoenas.
• Coordinate with clients and opposing counsel on deposition scheduling.
• Assist in trial preparation and compilation of exhibits for trial.
• Review and cite-check memoranda filed with the court.
• Monitor court docket, deadlines, and communicate dates to attorneys.
• Organize and manage case-related documents for efficient access.
