Qualifications

• Holds a valid Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsement.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Meets health and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for assigned classes and shows evidence of preparation.
• Maintains a safe and supervised classroom environment and discipline.
• Prepares teaching outline per curricula guidelines.
• Uses diverse teaching strategies and materials.
• Assigns lessons and corrects papers.
• Administers tests and records results.
• Evaluates student progress and reports to parents.
• Keeps attendance and grade records as required.
• Observes students for health or welfare concerns and reports as appropriate.
• Fosters cooperative social behavior.
• Discusses student issues with parents and suggests corrective action.
• Attends meetings and training workshops.
• Represents the school and the community positively.
• Complies with policies and regulations.
