Job summary

Hamilton Township School District Mercer County seeks a Substitute Instrumental Music teacher for middle school grades 6–8. The assignment supports ongoing music instruction during a leave of absence and may vary in length.

Candidates must hold an NJ Teacher of Music certificate (Standard, CEAS, CE, or Provisional) and demonstrate proficiency on at least one instrument, with familiarity of 2020 Visual and Performing Arts Standards. Bilingual candidates a plus.

Qualifications

• NJ Teacher of Music (Standard, CEAS, CE, Provisional).
• Knowledge/experience with novice to intermediate band instruction.
• Advanced proficiency performing on at least one instrument.
• Knowledge of 2020 Visual and Performing Arts Standards (music ensembles).
• Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus).
• Bilingual (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Replacement for teachers on a leave of absence.
• Length of positions may vary.
• Successful clearance of criminal history.
• All Substitutes must be BOE approved.
