Job summary

Oldham County Schools is seeking a Classroom Aide/Instructional Assistant to support classroom teachers in delivering instruction and maintaining an efficient learning environment. The position follows an 185-day calendar with a 6.5-hour workday and hourly pay.

The role includes preparing materials, assisting with assessments, and monitoring student progress and behavior under teacher direction.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Passing Paraeducator exam or equivalent college hours required.
• General clerical and technology experience including word processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to individuals or small groups of students as directed by the teacher; monitor progress and maintain records.
• Participate as a member of an instructional team and remediation efforts.
• Prepare and organize materials; administer and score tests per guidelines.
• Assist in administering assessments; score and record information.
• Monitor and report student behavior and progress to the teacher.
