Job summary

Exalt Health Rehabilitation Hospital Sarasota, LLC seeks a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN) to join the interdisciplinary team. You will work under licensed physical therapists to deliver intensive rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care, education, and collaboration to achieve optimal outcomes.

This role emphasizes inpatient rehabilitation for patients with stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, orthopedic injuries, and other complex conditions.

Qualifications

• Deliver comprehensive rehabilitation programs under licensed PT supervision.
• Educate patients and families on condition and home exercise programs.
• Document treatment sessions and report findings to the PT.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews and assessments to determine needs.
• Implement treatment plans including exercises, gait training and manual therapy.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home programs.
• Collaborate with nurses, doctors, social workers and other staff.
• Remain updated on current rehabilitation practices.
