Job summary

Andover Public Schools seeks a substitute teacher to join our instructional team. The role requires reporting to the assigned school daily to carry out lesson plans and daily duties for the teacher or instructional assistant being substituted.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor Degree with Massachusetts teaching license preferred, and have classroom experience and strong computer/technology aptitude. The position supports continuity of instruction for students in class and remote settings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of instruction to students in the absence of regular faculty, in-class and via remote learning.
• Instruct students employing varied instructional strategies.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues, parents and administrators.
• Perform other related duties including lunch, recess, bus or hall monitoring, classroom support staff, and administrative tasks as required.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and ensure adherence to COVID-19 policies and regulations.
