Job summary

The QUIKRETE® Companies is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in a broad, true generalist role. Reporting to the Division HR Business Partner, you will handle employee relations, payroll systems, benefits administration and onboarding across field operations.

Essential functions include training, ATS usage, performance management, reporting, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. A Bachelor’s degree in HR and 3+ years of HR generalist experience are required, with SPHR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, BA or related field.
• 3+ years HR generalist/administrative experience.
• General knowledge of employee relations, benefits, compliance, laws and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail/must be able to multitask.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
• Ability to maintain personnel/payroll files and procedures according to laws and regulations.
• High degree of accuracy with strong data analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and employee information.
• SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• HR support – First point of contact for all HR related questions and concerns from field operations. Lead monthly HR Support calls.
• Training – Assist with HR systems training with field operations, coach Managers and HR administrators on New Hire, Change and Termination processes/paperwork.
• Payroll support – Serve as conduit for any payroll related issues or questions as needed. Become an expert in HR systems.
• Benefits – Support field operations with benefit questions/employee situations. Escalate to proper benefits team representative as needed.
• Recruiting – Provide support to field locations for job postings. Support Field Managers with ATS functionality and usage.
• Performance Management – Provide administrative support for employee review process, track completion and trigger 90-day reviews.
• Reporting and metrics – Create metrics to include predictive analytics, turnover by region, tenure and job classification and recruitment efficiency. Analyze and present findings on an on-going basis.
• Compliance – work with field operations to ensure compliance with unemployment and legal requirements/claims.
