Job summary

Ringgold High School in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced Assistant Principal reporting to the High School Principal and Superintendent to support the academic program and promote a positive school climate.

The role includes oversight of staff, student welfare, safety, attendance, master scheduling, and coordination of instructional support teams. Strong leadership and PA PK-12 certification are required; immediate start and open until filled.

Qualifications

• PA Certification as a Principal PK-12 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a school setting, administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for student welfare and safety of students and staff.
• Oversight and supervision of staff.
• Evaluate staff according to PDE requirements and district procedures.
• Conduct regular classroom walk-throughs with feedback.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Review and follow the Pennsylvania Code of Professional Practice.
• Monitor attendance and coordinate investigative follow-up with the principal.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians, faculty, and student groups.
• Assist in master schedule, teaching assignments, and student schedules.
• Supervise staff development and orientation for new staff.
• Coordinate support services and teams (e.g., Student Assistance Program, IEPs, 504).
• Maintain discipline and guide consequences for infractions.
• Prepare for student assessments and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Maintain community relationships and engage with community entities.
• Assist in budget preparation, procurement, inventory, and receipts.
• Coordinate transportation, custodial, and cafeteria services.
• Conduct safety inspections and drills.
• Coordinate facility care and maintenance.
• Manage funds generated by student activities.
• Assist the principal in overall administration and in absence.
• Supervise student arrival/departure and district transportation at the school.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
