Job summary

Excel Fitness is seeking a qualified Trainer to join our Club Operations team in Garner, NC. You will design individualized exercise programs, train members during PE@PF sessions, and stay current with Planet Fitness app features and workout tracking.

You will inspect equipment, log sessions, monitor member safety, and help maintain a clean, welcoming club. Strong communication and leadership will help you motivate members and promote the PE@PF program on the floor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Personal Training Certification and recertification process start 1 month prior to expiration.
• Uncertified Team Players may complete Trainer Certification within first 30 days of employment.
• CPR/AED certification required; CPR/AED training within first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Design individual exercise programs for each member based on experience, medical background, and goals with safety and effectiveness.
• Train members during PE@PF small group sessions and stay proficient on Planet Fitness app content.
• Submit training programs and logs to GM for review as needed.
• Inspect equipment for malfunctions and report findings to GM/AM; perform basic maintenance.
• Log and upkeep training session, schedule, and attendance data.
• Engage with members to drive loyalty and promote the PE@PF program; motivate and encourage.
• Educate members about PE@PF sessions and communicate program details to teams.
• Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Assist front desk operations and use of point of sale.
• Represent the company at community events and outreach.
