Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring Front-End Drivers to operate front-end trucks on multi‑family and commercial routes, collecting waste or recyclables and transferring loads to appropriate facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum 1 year commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks on designated routes to collect solid waste and recyclables.
• Open container enclosures/gates to access cans and dump contents.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle reports as required.
• Interact courteously with customers and notify supervisor of issues.
• Maintain cleanliness around the site and safety along roads and highways.
• Maintain logs and route productivity sheets as required by law or policy.
• Back up and maneuver the truck using mirrors and distance judgment.
• Use maps and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety procedures and company rules on vehicle operation.
• Other related duties as assigned.
