Job summary

MGM Resorts International’s Borgata in Atlantic City is hiring a Food Runner responsible for fast, courteous table-side service and clear dish descriptions. You will greet guests, expedite meals, describe dishes, and keep the dining station spotless.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of prior relevant experience in a high-volume dining restaurant as a Food Runner or Server.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
• Expedite food from kitchen to table according to service sequence and chef direction.
• Describe dishes upon placement and answer questions about menu items.
• Describe menu features and changes as needed.
• Communicate with expeditor to ensure correct table delivery and position.
• Perform assigned open and closing side-work and maintain station cleanliness.
• Relay guest needs to kitchen/management and assist in providing smooth operation and quality service.
