Job summary

The Community Group in Lawrence, MA is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to lead developmentally appropriate lessons and foster a joyful learning environment. You will plan and implement activities, supervise staff, and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

Requirements include MA EEC teacher certification, at least 21 years old, and a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Bilingual candidates are encouraged; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts EEC Teacher Certification (required)
• Minimum age 21
• Associate or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus; strong communication skills
• CORI, SORI and fingerprint background check required
• Ability to plan collaborative, developmentally appropriate activities
• Experience implementing developmentally appropriate strategies

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning
• Lead and train assistants, volunteers, and interns
• Collaborate to craft age-appropriate daily activities and routines
• Deliver engaging lessons and manage classroom materials
• Maintain records of child progress and communicate with parents
• Support with referrals and coordination with specialists if needed
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
