Job summary

Planet Fitness Corsicana, TX is seeking a Fitness Trainer to help members achieve their goals and build confidence in using gym equipment. You will design workout plans for all ages, run group fitness programs, and drive exceptional customer service in a clean, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, mentoring members, promoting gym safety, and encouraging continual personal growth within a fun, judgement-free space.

Qualifications

• Current National Training Certification (ACE; NASM; ISSA; ACSM; NSCA).
• Fitness equipment knowledge with ability to demonstrate use of each piece.
• 1-3 years experience in related field that required training or education on health and wellness.
• Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Studies in the field of Kinesiology, Exercise Science or associated field.
• Understanding physical demands may involve standing, walking, stooping, lifting up to 50lbs, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, handling potentially hazardous chemicals.
• On-time dependability because you know people are counting on you.
• English language ability to speak, understand, read and write; bilingual - Spanish helpful.
• Passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Help members achieve fitness goals and build confidence in using equipment.
• Design simple workout programs for all ages and skill levels.
• Deliver strong customer service and engage members to succeed on their fitness journey.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and perform minor repairs.
• Keep club and equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Design individualized workout programs for members.
• Recruit new and current members to join fitness classes.
• Promote gym safety policies and ensure a judgement-free environment.
• Lead with passion, growth mindset and team involvement.
