Sterling Lawyers is seeking a Paralegal in Illinois to support two Attorneys in a fast-paced family law practice. The role involves e-filing, drafting pleadings, managing calendars, and coordinating with clients, courts, and process servers.

Expect a base salary range of $50,000–$61,900, with an incentive-based bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a stable, collaborative team culture focused on fixed-fee family law work.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of family law experience or related skills.
• Experience supporting two attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with e-filing procedures and court rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist two attorneys in a fast-paced family law practice.
• File documents and process related payments.
• E-file documents and update attorneys on filing requirements.
• Draft and e-file pleadings (e.g., Summons, Petitions) for dissolution or parentage cases.
• Prepare and submit prove-up documents in each county.
• Draft and e-file other documents (Appearance forms, motions, affidavits).
• Prepare Interrogatories and Requests for Production of Documents.
• Prepare responses to Interrogatories and Requests.
• Draft Pre-Trial memos and coordinate exhibits for judges and opposing counsel.
• Manage attorney calendars and schedule hearings and prove-ups.
• Coordinate client, opposing party, and counsel calls.
