Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports medicine, Exercise physiology, Physical education, Health education, or Athletic training with 30 sem hrs in related technical area.
• Current teaching certification or license required; school sponsorship possible for a license.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in Exercise Science and physical education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in exercise science including anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, and exercise psychology.
• Incorporate varied teaching methods: lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities; use tech resources to enhance learning.
• Assess student performance with exams, practicals, and projects; provide feedback and maintain records.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment; manage behavior and ensure safety.
• Stay updated on exercise science research; participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues.
• Lead or support extracurricular fitness activities and school events.
