BEST Crowd Management is seeking a Security Officer for the BJCC in Birmingham, AL. This part-time role blends event staff duties with security tasks to keep attendees safe and informed. You will monitor access, assist attendees, and collaborate with security to maintain order.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and are flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in event security or related field preferred.
• Must be physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup, including equipment and signage placement.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks for attendee safety.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist attendees with inquiries.
• Collaborate with event staff and security to maintain a safe environment.
• Help manage crowd flow at entry and exit points.
• Respond to security incidents following established protocols.
• Monitor areas to enforce rules and safety procedures.
• Handle attendee complaints calmly and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies to deliver high-quality service and security.
