Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Employment Law department. You will work closely with a lead attorney and a litigation paralegal to provide litigation support.

The role emphasizes detail-oriented prep, organization, and timely handling of pleadings, motions, discovery, and client communications in federal and state courts. On-site collaboration with a skilled team ensures hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney in a law firm setting.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
• General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
• Interface with Administrative Agencies, including EEOC.
• E-file court documents in federal and state court.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons.
• Coordinate depositions.
• Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits.
• Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
• Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery.
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
• Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts.
