Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC client, a nationally recognized law firm, seeks a Labor & Employment Associate with 3-5 years' experience to join its Los Angeles office.

The successful candidate will handle employment litigation for employers, perform legal research, draft pleadings, and advise on compliance. A J.D. and California Bar membership are required; base salary $260,000–$350,000 with performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• 3–5 years of employment litigation experience
• Experience handling a broad range of labor and employment matters
• Strong research, writing and advocacy skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Strong organizational and case management skills
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a variety of employment litigation matters
• Manage all phases of litigation from case assessment to trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and related documents
• Conduct legal research and provide practical analysis
• Advise clients on employment law compliance and risk management
• Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy and workforce matters
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
