Job summary

Pequea Valley School District is seeking a day-to-day substitute elementary classroom teacher for Paradise and Salisbury Elementary (K-6). The substitute will travel between campuses as needed, supporting classroom instruction and district-approved curricula.

The role involves creating lesson plans, assessing students, maintaining records, and communicating progress to parents and administration, while ensuring a safe, welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania State Certification as an Elementary Teacher K-6 is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related discipline is required.
• Master's degree in a related area preferred.
• Successful prior teaching experience at the appropriate grade levels is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver district-approved curriculum to K-6 students.
• Create and implement lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Assess and monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance and progress.
• Communicate with parents and administration regarding student progress and expectations.
