Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of related work experience in a school setting is desirable.
• BA degree and NM teaching license (or ability to obtain) and an endorsement for Physical Education; CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Plan physical education program to promote development of students' physical attributes and social skills.
• Teach individual and team sports to students, using knowledge of sports techniques and physical capabilities.
• Instruct and referee games such as volleyball, baseball, and basketball.
• Prepare, administer, and correct tests, and record results; keep attendance and grade records.
• Confer with students, parents, and school counselor to resolve student problems.
• Select, store, order, issue and inventory equipment used in physical education.

Education

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in education field
