Qualifications

• Experience or training in English language development (ELD/ESL).
• Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to support EL/MLs across content areas.
• Familiarity with formative and summative assessments for language growth.
• Respect for cultural differences and support for multilingual families.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers lessons to promote English language development.
• Collaborates with teachers and specialists to support EL/MLs across content areas.
• Administers formative and summative language assessments.
• Completes documentation for state and federal guidelines.
• Completes daily logs of student services.
• Attends regular Professional Development offerings.
• Be available for afternoon and evening parent-teacher conferences and school events.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• For MI only: licensure pathway and ESL/bilingual endorsement timelines.
• Demonstrates knowledge of language acquisition theory and best practices in ELD.
• Reads, analyzes, and interprets student data.
• Communicates effectively with teachers, administration, and families.
