Job summary

CLACKAMAS COUNTY CHILDREN'S COMMISSION, INC. seeks a Classroom Aide to assist teachers in delivering high-quality early childhood education. You will help implement daily activities, prepare materials, and support family engagement while following CACFP guidelines.

Requirements include a high school diploma, CDA preferred, knowledge of child development, and experience with 3–5 year-olds. A valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, and a Food Handler card are desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred CDA credential within one year of hire.
• Knowledge of child development is preferred.
• Experience with three to five-year-old children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher in daily classroom activities and schedules.
• Assist with follow-through and evaluation of daily lesson plans.
• Ensure classroom has all needed materials and supplies.
• Input child behavior observations for individualization.
• Participate in Open House and center events.
• Use PBIS to guide children’s behavior.
• Attend bus monitor training and act as bus monitor if needed.
• Maintain a neat, safe, clutter-free classroom.
• Provide child care at Family Gatherings if needed.
• Assist in food preparation for meals per CACFP guidelines.
