Job summary

Lanter Delivery Systems is seeking a Dock Lead in McDonough, GA to guide a shift of dock staff, ensuring safe, efficient loading and unloading of freight to support on-time deliveries. The role involves coaching team members, training freight handlers, and maintaining safety and process discipline.

This full-time position may require up to 5% travel. Ideal candidates have proven supervisory experience and strong knowledge of warehousing, shipping/receiving, and MS Office programs.

Qualifications

• Proven successful warehouse, cross-dock, or related experience.
• Proven successful supervisory experience.
• Proven experience in warehousing, shipping/receiving, transportation, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock team during shifts to ensure on-time, error-free deliveries.
• Coach team members and document interactions; support consistency and safety.
• Train and develop freight handlers with the tools and resources needed.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading of freight and rectify unsafe practices.
• Input freight data and match manifests to parcel numbers in systems.
• Operate forklift to sort and match freight to designated areas.
• Maintain cross-dock safety procedures and security measures.
• Resolve conflicts and report issues to supervisor promptly.
