Qualifications

• Prior experience with a specialty program offering.
• Prior experience working with children.
• Enthusiasm for the arts and children.
• Able to adhere to drug/alcohol/smoke free workplace policy.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must meet State background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, plans, and executes activities for enrolled children.
• Prepares for special program presentations.
• Monitors safety and makes changes as necessary.
• Provides a positive environment and encourages participation.
• Serves as a role model and listens to children with respect.
• Instructs and guides participants through program rules and safety protocols.
• Applies problem-solving and timely decision-making with factual information.
• Reports incidents and maintains necessary forms and records.
• Maintains clean, safe classroom conditions and supplies.
