Job summary

ACCEL Schools’ Northside Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Daily Substitute Teacher dedicated to delivering engaging, standards-aligned lessons across EK-8. You will adapt plans, differentiate instruction, and maintain student records while fostering a positive classroom environment.

You will hold an active Ohio teaching license and a Bachelor’s degree in education. Collaboration with staff, family communication, and use of technology to enhance learning are essential;

Qualifications

• Active Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Experience with data-driven coaching and frequent observations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Utilize school-approved curricula that reflect diverse backgrounds of the students.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate and meet with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth of students.
• Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning.
• Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
