West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking Substitute Teachers to support Lewis County Schools. The role involves maintaining a positive learning environment and implementing effective lessons in the absence of regular instructors.

Candidates must have a valid WV Teaching Certificate or WVDE Substitute Permit and pass a background check. This position is available on a daily contracted basis as needed.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of the students

2. Implement effective lessons in the absence of regular instructor
3. Ensure the district policies are observed during all activities
4. Create a safe classroom environment that is conducive to learning
5. Maintain confidentiality
6. Abide by state statutes, school board policies, and regulations

7. Must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor

8. Adhere to strong confidentiality standards at all times

9. Other duties as assigned by the principal or personnel office

REPORTS TO: Building Principal or his/her designee

TERM: Daily contracted services, as needed
