Qualifications

• Requires a current, valid Educator License with Stipulations issued by ISBE appropriately endorsed for Career Technical Educator and each grade level.
• Prefers 2+ years implementing trades taught in career/technical education.
• Prefers experience with at-risk youth and diverse behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Teaches vocational subjects to assigned students.
• Observes and evaluates learning progress using tests and assessments.
• Maintains inventory control and equipment maintenance records.
• Keeps detailed attendance, achievement, and progress records.
• Participates in workshops to enhance skills in education and career concepts.
• Counsels students on educational and career pathways.
• Performs other duties within the scope of responsibilities.
