Job summary

Novant Health is seeking Registered Nurses for the Float Pool to provide continuous quality patient care across multiple units. As part of a resource team, you will rotate through RN Team 1 CCU, Team 2 Inpatient Acute, and Team 3 Women’s Services to meet diverse patient needs. Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Current compact RN licensure is required. NC-specific restrictive-interventions training within 3 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required.
• BSN, preferred.
• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Team 1 (Specialty/CCU): Min 2 yrs in critical care or ED setting.
• Team 2 (Inpatient Acute): Min 1 yr general Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience, required.
• Team 3 (Women’s Services): Min 2 yrs in L&D, Post-partum, or NICU.
• All Teams require Cardiac Dysrhythmia test or successfully complete the Cardiac Dysrhythmia course within 6 months of hire, required.
• Current compact RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional skills preferred: Specialty Certification, Chemo Certification, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Triage Course, NRP.
