Job summary

Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Smyrna, TN, seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will deliver therapies aligned with goals and document progress accordingly.

The role emphasizes collaboration with all disciplines to ensure patient-centered care in a long-term care setting. A valid state license is required, and prior geriatric care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide treatment adhering to goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to the supervising occupational therapist via documentation.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Document patient progress and weekly notes in a timely manner.
